Helping a Local Bar Refresh Its Brand

Helping a Local Bar Refresh Its Brand

At My Paper Box, we love helping local businesses make a great first impression.

Sometimes that means printing business cards. Other times, it means taking a step back and helping create a more consistent brand experience.

Recently, I had the opportunity to work with a local Austin bar to refresh its visual identity—from redesigning their logo to creating weekly promotional table tents and other marketing materials.

More Than a Logo

A logo is often the first thing customers notice, but great branding goes much further.

For this project, we worked to create materials that looked cohesive and reflected the personality of the business. The goal was to make every piece—from the table tents on each table to future promotional materials—feel like they belonged together.

Weekly Specials That Get Noticed

One of the projects was redesigning the bar's weekly specials table tents.

Instead of simply listing events, the new design uses bold typography, strong contrast, and eye-catching graphics to make specials easy to spot while customers are sitting at their table.

The result is a piece that's functional, durable, and acts as a silent salesperson throughout the week.

Design That Works in the Real World

One thing I enjoy most about commercial design is balancing creativity with practicality.

A table tent has to:

  • Catch someone's attention from across the table.
  • Be easy to read in a dimly lit bar.
  • Hold up to everyday use.
  • Match the business's overall brand.

Good design isn't just about looking nice—it's about communicating clearly.

Helping Local Businesses Grow

Whether you're opening a new business or giving an existing one a fresh look, My Paper Box can help with more than just printing.

We can assist with:

  • Logo design and branding
  • Table tents
  • Menus
  • Posters
  • Flyers
  • Business cards
  • Event signage
  • Promotional materials
  • And just about anything made from paper.

There's nothing better than seeing local businesses succeed, and I'm proud to play a small part in helping them put their best foot forward.
